Very twisted! The other 2 stories never quite live up to the opening but are still
interesting. The second and goofiest one is a typical revenge-from-beyond curse
story, but the last tale, about a man wrongly sent to death who comes back from
the grave by performing a sacred reincarnation ritual, is quite moving! Rated

and Ching-Ying Lam. The humor is toned down a bit, there are some
great zombies and ghosts and overall this film is much better then
the first "Spooky Encounters" (this is a sequel in name
only and story-wise there is no connection). It's strange to me
that this film has yet to be released on DVD and remains so hard
to find as it really stands out! Please note that although there
are burned-in English subtitles, they often dip below the bottom
of the picture and disappear for awhile.

they fight the evil alien Gargoyle gang as they attempt to conquer the world using
a barrage of enormous (and hilariously fake looking) creatures! Compiled from
about 10 episodes of the 60s t.v. show "Johnny Sokko and his Flying Robot"
(called "Jaianto robo" in Japan), this fast-paced English dubbed feature-length
tv movie has more giant monsters than 3 Godzilla movies combined, plus some of
the most ridiculous English dubbing this side of Tokyo! And the good news is that
this version runs a whopping 98 minutes! So roll over Hyata and tell Fuji the
news, Johnny Sokko and his flying robot are BACK! |
