Douglas decides to pull off the heist on his own, hide the money and then serve 1 year in prison much to the discouragement of his wife played by Florinda Bolkin. He enlists the aid of an ex-circus trapeze man (Giuliano Gemma) who at one point is pursued by one of Miller's thugs in a pretty wild car chase! A fast paced action / caper film! Note: The first 20 minutes has a few reoccurring but minor wrinkles. The picture overall looks very good.

Eventually Keitel abducts the boy in what starts as a normal interrogation and turns into an out-and-out kidnaping! An unusual picture with an Ennio Morricone score. This is the R-rated version, not the cut tv print that is going around. There are a few occasional minor wrinkles on our source tape but it doesn not distract. Overall this still looks much better than the budget DVDs going around.

Her mother offers them $2,000 to protect them from the killers. This movie is not so much a straight-up Giallo but rather belongs more to the "what the fuck!?" sub-genre. "Para Psychics" has a bad reputation as one of the worst movies ever made but I enjoyed it quite a bit! The middle part of the film is a bit hard to follow as nothing much happens plot-wise; the 2 men wander around, sleep with a lot of naked women and fight off attacks by the assassins. There is a big plot twist towards the end. The free-spirited attitude of the 2 men creates a sort of "Butch Cassidy"-on-drugs atmosphere. Not an epic but I liked it! An unusual thriller with artsy and psychedelic touches of the times including Reardon going undercover in a biker gang (that attacks and torches a nude interracial couple) and a murder at a psychedelic love-in. With Susanna Martinková as a blind victim of an LSD experiment, director Carmeo Bene as a ruthless assassin and brief appearances by Margaret Lee and Helen Mirren. This English dubbed version, which includes the original theatrical trailer, seems to have replaced much of Pierro Piccioni's original score with an alternate score. We also offer the Italian language version as "Colpo Rovente" taken from Italian television.This version retains the amazing score and has different editing on the scenes but runs about 20 minutes shorter and is most likely cut. Franco Gasparri is the detective trying to find out who this man is and why he wants this particular person destroyed. With Lee J. Cobb and Ely Galleani. The catchy Franco Micalizzi score is extremely effective, combining mandolins and other ethnically appropriate instruments with a more modern '70s sound! Very cool!
