ADDED! Here is a beautiful mint copy of this
often requested French television movie! Anna Karina plays herself in this light-hearted
pop-art musical. Also starring Jean-Claude Brialy with Serge Gainsbourg (who composed
the music) and Marianne Faithful who sings one number. This romantic comedy revolving
around the '60s fashion / model industry is entirely spoken in French but there
are some very cool visuals and excellent music. And dare I say this is probably
the best looking picture on this title you will ever see! Ah, oui! |

by José María Forqué with segments by Francisco Macián, Spain This wild rock-n-roll
spy comedy starring Spanish rockers "Los Bravos" plays almost like a hyper-paced
extended Spanish "Monkees" t.v. episode but with really decent production values!
The Los Bravos music is a bit on the "pop" side of rock-n-roll but still has it's
charm. There are some wild psychedelic effects, some very groovy sets and an awesome
animated sequence towards the end done in a sort-of psychedelic rotoscope style!

Beat-e-o (duBEAT-e-o aka We're all Crazy Now, 1984) Directed
by Alan Sacks, USA Okay, this film is pretty awful, but it contains the remnants
of some of the great footage of Joan Jett with a pseudo-Runaways type band! These
clips from ‘79 are the best thing about the movie but they unfortunately have
star Ray Sharkey yammering over top of them! He plays a movie director trying
to finish the film-wihin-a-film which looks like it may have been pretty cool.
Derf Scratch (from the band Fear) plays the film editor and there's soundtrack
music by Social Distorion, Dr. Know, The Lounge Lizards, The Mentors and Tex And
The Horseheads. Look for Cheryl "Rainbeaux" Smith as one of the fake-Runaways
and The Mentors' El Duce as himself! Why isn't this film better? Rated R |

young, rich couple (James Fox and Susannah York) who plan to rob the boy's own
father (James Mason) out of a million pounds! Originally written by future "Performance"

| Fireball
Jungle (1969) Directed by Jose Prieto, USA Man, oh, man! What a bizarre
pic! Okay, lessee... the plot has something to do with corruption by the mob among
some stock car racers... there's an obligatory catfight and some drug references.
But the part you'll most remember is this totally wacked-out 5 minute middle section
of the film that takes place in a bar with toilets instead of seats where a man
sings a song to a poodle, a woman comes in with clothes and face makeup that makes
her look like a walking checkered race flag, and when the cash register is opened
it makes the sound of a toilet flushing... it goes on for a bit and makes no logical
sense at all! You'll think someone dosed your Doritos when you see this thing!
Then it's back to the story as if nuttin' happened! There's performances by an
r&b singer and some gawdawful boy / girl vocal combo singing "Love Can
Make You Happy"! There's a sign next to the band that says "The LSD
For Lunch Bunch"! Ah, the '60s... John Russell and Allan Nixon star with
Lon Chaney, Jr.! From the director of Shanty Tramp (also available)! |

Look for Andy Griffith as the advice giving priest! As a kid I remember being

Ruth Roman, Julie Adams and Robert Carradine. Plus as added bonus: "When,

(aka The Artful Penetration of Barbara aka Black On White aka
Attraction, 1968) IN ITALIAN LANGUAGE WITH NO SUBTITLES Directed by
Tinto Brass, Italy Before directing "Salon Kitty" and moving into
the erotic style of film making that he is more known for, director Tinto Brass
made a series of movies (including "L'urlo" and "Col cuore in gola")
that can only be called "pop art". This one, my personal favorite, follows
a beautiful young woman (Anita Sanders) who, after being dropped off in the park
by what seems to be her husband, spends the day wandering the city where she is
sometimes pursued by a Black man who she seems to have an interest in despite
her reluctance to confront him. On her trip Brass sneaks in statements on politics,
racism, hippies, war, sexuality, conformity and other topical subjects through
the use of disjointed editing, stock footage, psychedelia, and music from the
UK rock group The Freedom (not to be confused with the similarly named American
band Freedom) who pop in and out performing the movie's groovy score. This is
certainly a movie for someone enjoying nonsensical, train-of-thought plotless
counterculture type films and anyone not liking that kind of thing would probably
wanna steer clear. Radley Metzger released the film in the US through his Audobon
distributing group as "The Artful Penetration of Barbara" (anyone got
a copy of that?). This version, in Italian language only with a small Italian
tv logo in the corner, is the only copy I have ever been able to find! It unfortunately
appears to be cut as some of the nudity looks trimmed and some of it is covered
up with a big psychedelic swirly thing! We have included, after the end of the
movie, the excellent US trailer. Rated R |

film was a bit of a disappointment. The story of a teenage girl (Maggie Stride)
becoming involved with the UK groupie scene, this film has some similarities to
the much better made "Groupie Girl" (also available). The wanky "rock" music is
by the bands Forever More, Comus and Titus Groan. Our version runs 89 minutes.
Look for the infamous Collinson twins in a brief nude appearance (they also appear
in "Groupie Girl", godblessem)! Rated R |

fun thriller with a misleading title (there's not much perversion going on) and

IN
ITALIAN LANGUAGE WITH NO SUBTITLES Directed
by Lucio Fulci, Italy A rock-n-roll film starring Elke Sommer featuring Italian
artists Mina, Joe Sentieri, wacky Adriano Celentano and others, and featuring
a rare performance by Chet Baker! The quality on this black & white obscurity
is very good, save for a small Italian tv logo in the corner. The bad news: This
picture is in Italian only. The good news: The characters break into song &
dance at the drop of a hat so there’s pretty much constant music numbers and not
a lot of dialogue! The shmaltzy but cool tunes and atmosphere kinda’ reminded
me of the '60s beach party flicks of the U.S., but with a more Euro feel of course.
More good news: When ordering this we’ll throw in free the rare Italian t.v. documentary
